LATEST TRAINING CAMP NEWS: Warming up the starters
The Saints were back inside on Wednesday for both workouts as the team's first unit is preparing for longer duty in Saturday night's preseason game at Green Bay (7 pm CT; UPN 54, Saints Radio Network). According to Coach Jim Haslett, the starters will be on the field longer than when they were in last Friday's victory over the Jets. "The first team will play close to a half, including Aaron (Brooks) and we'll see based on injuries, but that's where we're playing them right now," he said. "We won't know who won't play probably until tomorrow or even Friday. We got some guys that are nicked up. It looks good, but there will probably be one or two guys that will be out. I think most of the players will be available to play." |

I think they need to play at least the first half, then game three and four all game. We need to approach the last two preseason games like regular season games and play the gamers. If someone gets hurt, that\'s part of the game, but we cannot not sacrifice the chance to practice and not be ready for the first 2 or 3 games of the regular season.
