C'mon Saints - let's just finish 9-7.

Assuming we don't make the postseason - which we probably will not - ending the season on a 4-0 run would be some nice momentum going into next season.

Plus, the D is starting to get better (yes "better" is compared to the worst D in history) and maybe the scheme will work with more time and more talent (next year).

And who knows - maybe the cards will fall in the right order for us.

This is our best chance to make it, IMO:

2012 NFL Playoff Machine - Simulate Matchups and Scenarios - ESPN

If you want your brain to hurt, consider that we only need to win out and have the following happen:

1) Rams - Lose any 1 game - @ BUF, MIN, @TB, @SEA

2) Vikings - Lose any 1 game - CHI, @STL, @HOU, GB

3) Bucs - Lose to Saints ONLY - PHI, @NO, STL, ATL

4) Cowboys - Lose to Saints and NY Giants win NFC East or Lose to Saints + one other game - @ CIN, PIT, @NO, @WAS

5) Redskins - ANY TWO losses - BAL, @CLE, @PHI, DAL

6A) Seahawks - 3 losses or 2 NFC losses - ARI, @BUF, SF, STL

OR

6B) Bears - Lose 3 games - @MIN, GB, @ARI, @DET

We get by the Giants this weekend and I think we win out.

I also think #1 - #4 happen.

It is getting 2 out of the last 3 things to happen that will take a miracle...
