I have to see the final playoff list before I can decide. I usually cheer for 2 teams - 1) The Saints or 2) whoever is playing against Atlanta. So, let's see.

To win the Super Bowl - I'd want the texans to win it, they deserve it and have been playing good football, there D is very good

Hope packers can get rid of ATL for us just like in 2010 playoffs

Well living in Houston, I'm starting not to like the Texans fans. They are getting a little cocky so I'm pulling for the Manning boys if we are eliminated.

Since Minnesota isn't making the playoffs either in all likelihood - I wouldn't be upset if either the Texans or the Ravens were to win it in the end.

Without the Saints in the mix I just go for the GOOD GAME philosophy. Not pulling for one team, pulling for two teams to be pitted against each other and make a GOOD GAME.

Memories of some of those AFC playoff games when I was a kid, "The Drive," Bills/Oilers "The Comeback," the famous "we want the ball and we're gonna score" game, Patriots in a snowstorm, etc etc... I felt no allegiance for either of the teams but they were some damn incredible football games.

IDK, I'll follow them a little bit and focus mostly on Championship Sunday & the SuperBowl, depends on how much ice is forming around here. Houston has a real good chance, but the Patriots have been there before & don't forget Baltimore or Pittsburgh. The NFC is a hot mess, I don't even want to think about it.

I just cant find it in me to care about the Texans. If the Oilers were
still here, I'd want them to win. But I just cant get into the Texans,
or that dumb stadium. I watched a movie Sunday, while the Texans
were playing.

I'm hoping for a first-time Super Bowl champion (Houston, Cincinnati, Atlanta). Indy winning it all would be a nice story too. Just please not one of the usual winners (Pittsburg, New England, Green Bay, Giants) - or the Niners - yuck!

Personally, I agree with you Oak. Assumptions have always ended poorly for myself, lol. I just never learn my lesson.

Face it whodats. We're not making the post season this season. I was one of the ones that thought the saints would turn it around and run the table. And they kinda did cause who predicted Brees to throw 7 pics in 2 games?? If not for that we'd be looking at 7-5 I don't think we will make 9-7. Even if we do I don't think it's gonna get us in the post season. Hopefully I'm wrong this is just a "what if" thread so don't bash me. But if we go 7-9 or 8-8 do u think we could grab Manti Te'o? Or will he go top 5? Idk much about college ball or mock drafts. Thoughts?

Are they line backers??? And that's exactly just we need smack u in the mouth players. IMO I don't the D line will be an issue next season. I see Cam Jordan Tom Johnson Akiem Hicks and Tez Wilson/Junior Gallett.

We play Dallas, so a Saints win and we pass them.

The Redskins still have Baltimore, and two division rivals. Two losses and we pass them. And the Skins are only one game behind the Giants so its possible we'd be competing with the Giants for #6, and we still play them.

The Giants still have @ Atlanta, @ Baltimore and New Orleans. Two Giant losses and we pass them.

Seattle still has @ Buffalo and THREE games against their own division, so two losses and we pass them.

Minnesota still has Green Bay, AT Houston, Chicago and @ St Louis, so two losses and we pass them.

So hell yes I think we are definitely still in it and don't wanna hear any crap about about us being out of it until we are mathematically eliminated.

Seems like people are assuming every other possible scenario that can possibly be assumed right now. So I just thought I'd chime in with one more.

I understand all that. If u woulda kept reading I did say it was a "what if" thread. But that is a TON of things that HAVE to go out way. And not only that we HAVE to win out pretty much. We may can "afford" to lose one more. But in the NFL that's a lot of stuff that has to go our way. Not saying it's not possible. I just don't see that many "what ifs" going in our favor.
