Hope, Dreams and Improbabilities
Hello there,
The last two games have not gone the way we wanted it to go and some of the other teams we had hoped to see lose, Washington and Seattle, did not. It could be very likely that some of the teams that were in strong positions may be out of the playoffs (Giants and Chicago). But that's why "you play to win the game" as some coach said 10 season ago. The 2002 New York Jets did not start 0-4 but they were in a mid-season rut at 2-5 and eventually made it to the playoffs at 9-7. Our Saints are in a deeper hole with only 4 games left but by winning out and getting some help perhaps in the form of divine intervention all hope is not lost just yet. I took this picture about two months ago the day after the win against the Chargers. I wanted to share it with everyone sooner but thought it was too early -- now seems like the right time. I live in San Diego as my username suggests. I happened to have the day off and decided to do some shopping at the nearby Target and saw this Louisiana plate. It could be a sign. It might mean nothing. I just thought about the odds of me running into this car and how an entire sequence of events had to be timed right for that to happen. Needless to say, I was already high off the win the night before and this hopefully good omen made my day. I did my shopping and the car was gone by the time I returned. I do not know what "MSBREES" was doing all the way out here in San Diego but I do hope they had a good time and were able to safely return home -- perhaps just like the Saints still may be able to "return all the way home". The road home is extremely steep and the odds are stacked against for the very unlikely to happen. An entire sequence of events must be timed ever so perfectly for that to happen. There are 4 games left and I reserve the right to hope and dream about the improbable until we lose one more game. You never know. Cheers, San Diego Saint |

Dreams with works, hope, and a little help become reality..... Nothing wrong with dreaming. The way the fanbase has took to the were not out of it mentality vs. the paper bags has been a welcome site!!!! And even if it is doom and/or gloom..... At least it doesn't feel like it.
