Alec Ogletree ? ok i do not get this pick. I love his skills set but he is a project. just another upside player in the first round of the draft in my book. I would rather see a different pick here

my fears are well be cap driven with the pick and go OT.

The more film I watch and the more reports I read - Dion Jordan seems like the guy to use that 1st round pick on, but if he isn't available when the Saints pick, I wouldn't mind seeing them trade back.

On one mock I saw the Saints picking Kwame Geathers (6-5, 355) NT out of Georgia on their 4th round pick, and after reading some stuff about him, I think he might be a catch if he is available in the 4th or even in the 5th as some have projected him.

Initially I had us taking Fisher - but he may have played himself into the top 10...

Ogletree's athleticism is off the charts and will allow him to play in a 3-4 right away...

Remember that 3-4 assignments aren't as complicated as 4-3 and are more of one read and react/play...

Ogletree's athleticism is off the charts and thats the main reason he is so high on the boards. nothing against his play i just think the hype has him higher than he should be.

god i hate this range in round 1

Last time I heard the words 'raw', we ended up with some guy named Patrick Robinson.

And that's why Spagnulo and Flajole were jettisoned - not coaching up the draftees...

...there's nothing wrong with drafting talented athletic players who need development - you just gotta coach them up and get your return on investment back quick in this league or you're done...

...we've not done that except on the offensive side of the ball...

I think they were canned because of there lack of adjustments. Spags was to hard headed and was trying to force square pegs into round holes.

IMO, coaching up players falls on the shoulders of assistants. I know the DC has a part in it to but it is the assistants job to implament and teach the DC's plan.
