2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I didnt see a 3rd rounder. What I saw was two 2nd and a 6th which isnt enough. Now if its two 2nd rounders and a 3rd hell yeah I'd do it....

Wanted to Revisit Trading Down...

As much as I want Ogletree, we should be huddling with Cincy or Miami...

We could trade down and secure very fine talent at a number of positions...

Saints/Bengals Trade Scenario

Saints trade rights to RB Chris Ivory and pick 1.15 (15)

for

Bengals' picks 2.5(37), 2.21(53), and 3.15(47)

2013 Saint's Draft Mock (Jeanpierre)

[Updated 2013/04/05]

2.05 (37) LB Alec Ogletree, Georgia*

R2 Forfeit

2.21 (53) OL Barrett Jones, Bama

3.13 (75) LB Jaime Collins, So. Miss*

3.22 (86) OL Jordan Mills, Louisiana Tech

4.12 (109) LB Chase Thomas, Stanford

5.11 (144) DE Bennie Logan, LSU

6.15 (183) DT Kwame Geathers, Georgia

*Ogletree is currently trending at an average of 38th overall (He's a First Rounder To Me); if Ogletree isn't there as he shouldn't be, I'd select 2.05 (37) CB Jamar Taylor, Boise State OR as Hagan pointed out, CB Johnthan Banks, Miss St who would be a press coverage CB, but I suspect may go around pick 30 or in the first, second pick of the second round...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

You stole nothing my friend...it's a group think thing...

Doubt Fluker will be there in the second round...

Swap the slots you'd take Barrett and Margus and that is very plausible...

Terron Armstead will be gone by mid second round...

Swap the slots of Hughes and Faulk, and that too should be there...

Geathers should still be there in Round 5...

Round 6, WTH? BPA? You better find us a real name soldier!

If Johnson is there at 15, I could see it - though I think there is better value for investment in the second and third rounds for a Left Tackle as you suggest...

Yes, I believe in flexibility - and we will need financial flexibility with that albatross of a contract that Tom Condon struck with Mickey Loomis...

Also, being able to move lineman around could be yet another nightmare for opposing defense to deal with...

Both those young men are athletic and can move, which I prize in an offensive lineman...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
