Tagliabue's quote above clearly demonstrates that bounties have always existed and, if you read between the lines, that the NFL targeting of the Saints and its players was a witch hunt. I hope Goodell is booted or resigns prior to the Super Bowl and Tagliabue is allowed to step in as interim commissioner until a new and hopefully better commish is selected. Probably won't happen but it doesn't matter if it's 10, 15 or 20 years later and he's still in power, we will still be calling for Goodell's head and watching for him to make even the slightest misstep. I won't forgive or forget this mess.
