Anyone else besides me notice that the Packers, having been somewhat embarassed by their ineptitude last week, essentially blitzed from the time they walked out of the locker room? And I don\'t mean simply sending a LB every so often--I mean double CB blitzes, multiple LB blitzes, and various combinations thereof. It seemed to me that the Packer braintrust used one of the oldest tricks in the book--make yourself look better by using blitzes that the opposition likely hasn\'t worked a lot on picking up by the second preseason game. Especially an opponent with three presumed O-line starters sitting in the first quarter. If I\'m a Packers fan, I might actually be more worried than I actually am as a Saints fan...considering how the Saints did so well against their running game with a pretty basic defensive package (except for one run in particular I remember when Watson got caught up in traffic inside as the run bounced outside) and the fact that Green Bay still doesn\'t have an offensive TD in the preseason.

Seriously, no I don\'t disagree with your comments in principle Billy. I\'m not 100% certain that what you say and what you do are equal, but you\'ve been much better this off-season than you were last off-season.

In any case, I don\'t think it would have been unfair last week to say that is APPEARS that the run defense has not improved. I still have not seen the Packers game but you can expect my full report in a day or two. If they look better, I will definitely note that.

Before the game, all the skeptics wanted to see our rush defensive stop Green and Davenport. Well here\'s the breakdown:

Combined 13 rushes for 34 yards = 2.6 per carry. Pretty damn good ha!!!

and if you are a sunshiner like me, take out the one run by Green for 24 yards and you have 13 carries for 8 yards and about .6 yards per carry and we did this to one of the best rushing tandems in the league.

Not bad, matter of fact they really improved over the first game, ALOT!!!
