Re: Offense = conservative and lackluster
You kind of bring up a point, our LB, secondary, and front 4 have not been real good for some time now, I truely believe there is a common in that and to me its not the DC, it's Joe Vitt, now as respected as he is in the league, I feel that overall he has not evolved, facts are since he has been at his position our front 4 stink it up and our lb.'s play is very suspect to say the least, with the exception of Lofton for years. Spags is a really good DC and I would love to see our D play well, I just don't see it with Vitt being there, maybe its time for a change?

Are you sure?
Does Robinson get close enough to be labelled a "tackler"? And yet we have a Saint Patricks day. Er..... joke. Oh hold on. I have just been told that jokes are meant to be funny |

Re: Offense = conservative and lackluster
How good have the lb.'s been since Vitt has been there, not able to help the front 4 at all, even when blitzing, unable to cover, unable to really contain against the run, so I ask you how does it not affect the front 4 or the db.s

That's what I love about Coach Payton - he keeps his foot on the gas pedal the WHOLE GAME. The Saints miss his intensity.
