Re: Goodell “disappointed” Tagliabue did not hold Saints accountable
Fact is the saints were told to stop in 2010. They didn't. So they suffer the consequences. However the consequences were EXTREME in this case. Goddell should've used common sense but didn't. So now he's feeling the wrath. And deservedly so.
Truth is he has handled most other situations correctly, drink driving, assault etc. but he got it flat out WRONG in the bounty gate. So he's essentially ruined our season. Asswipe. |

Re: Goodell “disappointed” Tagliabue did not hold Saints accountable
Roger knows all this information. He knows everything, even more than the most informed fan or sport journalist. This was never about the Saints alleged program and if people don't understand that by now then they never will. If we knew the truth on both sides of the coin it would be sickening. Sickening to the point it could costs them possibly billions. I firmly believe this show was put on to expose as much as they could with doing the least amount of damage. The NFL is not serious about it you say? Look, look what they did to the Saints! It was unprecedented.
The former players with these lawsuits pending are understanding that an organization like the NFL will shoot themselves in the knee with their own bow and arrow before they take a shot in the chest from them. |

Re: Goodell “disappointed” Tagliabue did not hold Saints accountable
When the former players get their day in court the Saints punishments will have an impact on the decesion making process in favor of the NFL. It's all about self preservation. If you or I were an owner we would do the same thing. Big picture: It had to be done. If it has to be done, do it to a good team in a small market.

Re: Goodell “disappointed” Tagliabue did not hold Saints accountable
“I was disappointed he could find conduct detrimental and there is no discipline, that he could excuse that type of accountability as a coach’s responsibility,” Goodell said of Tagliabue in an interview with the New York Times.
I want our picks back! he has wrecked the market value of the saints. so next time they tell the state and the tax payers to show him the money or we will lose out on all the money the nfl brings to the state. remind him we get a discount because of his actions! we need a class action law suite based on this premise |

Re: Goodell “disappointed” Tagliabue did not hold Saints accountable
That's ok, I'm disappointed that goodell hasn't dropped dead yet. We all have to deal with a little disappointment in our lives. Some of us just deal with it a little better than others.
Oh, BTW, when he does drop dead, party's at my house. |
