Since it is election season, perhaps we should give serious thought to naming Billy aka GumboBC, BillyCarpenter, et al as this board's newest moderator.
I'd like to point to Billy's most recent posts which have generated a great deal of thoughtful responses and his role in facilitating constructive dialogue on the coming season. I'd also like to point to Billy's tireless efforts to keep the board going during what seemed like an eternal off-season. In light of his efforts and quality postings of late, the MODS need to go ahead and initiate Billy. And for football substance--Our O-line: Do they just need more time to play together and become one of the league's deeper units or are they over-rated? |

While making an attempt to give GumboBC his chance at prognosticating stardom in his own Weekly ranking thread , someone saw fit to delete the topped thread .Not sure of the reason but it is an interesting thought and duely noted .

Thanks for the props, BMG. But, I think the current MODS do a fine job. Things have settled down a lot here when compared to last year. I think that is a good thing. There\'s really no need for another MOD, IMO.
The MODS here allow a pretty good bit of freedom. Moreso than most boards. They have cracked down on a lot of the BS. Again, I think that\'s a good thing. I suspect being a MOD isn\'t that much fun at times. I don\'t think anyone likes editing posts or pleading with members to get their act together. I just like talking football. Last year I came to this board and kinda got off on the wrong foot. And rather quickly I might add. :P This year I decided to keep things on topic (well as much as you chumps allow me to ) I try to come up with interesting things to talk about. I think we all do. What I like about this board are the members. I\'ve visited other boards. I post on other boards. But, the members here go much deeper in their analysis of the game of football. And I\'m being honest here. Not to say that other boards don\'t have knowledgeable members, because they do. This board just seems to have a higer percentage of knowledgeable fans. So much in fact, that you had better be careful what you post. If you go too far out in the sunshine or moonshine -- You will be called on it and expected to back it up. And that\'s the way it\'s suppose to be, IMHO .... |

OK Gumbo, we know your sunshine, but I agree with you on the board thing, I think there are alot of members here that are very knowledgeable of the Saint\'s and football in general and I have caught myself checking my stats twice before posting, because I know a few of you are just lying in wait to pounce, sort of like a Gator.
Just funnin ya Gator, both you and Gumbo keep the blood flowing. |
