My Thoughts on GB
This was a really hard game to use to assess what may become of this team in the regular season. As the previous years, there are plenty of things to be excited about. The offense looks like it could dominate, but because GB blitzed so often it\'s hard to tell whether the O-line fixed some things or not. (Again, there were also starters out, but there was pressure up the middle that bothered me.) All I know is they were letting guys through. If the WR continue to drop the ball, the heavy blitz is going to be every team\'s game plan against us.
The D looked good, but AA was definitely abused. He had the best coverage I\'ve seen from him in a while on Chatman (I think) and he still caught that deep out. Just like in the backup QB situation, I\'d like to see the guy behind AA, whether its craft of brown, get a shot at starting just to see what he can do. This is the preseason after all. What better time? Until i see more and until they come out strong against Seattle, I\'m holding on to my cautiously optimistic 9-7 prediction. |
