Who else is there to consider? Now that we've mostly conceded that coaching at the pro level is indispensable, which are considered outstanding? We should be giving this area a higher focus since it protects a potentially franchise crippling disaster from occurring.

The coaching profession is so insular that its hard to get objective assessment of their abilities.

Key additions for 2013 are happening for every franchise EXCEPT ours.

Next season is NOW.

This is not SMU Roger. Stop the continued punishment of this team, this city and this region...

Be a professional. Reinstate our coach so the team can at least begin salvaging the 2013 season that it has already been crippled for.

Re: SPECULATION - Tony Sparano as O Line Coach

I don't like Sparano. He's a rah rah guy, and comes across as very fake to me. I don't put any stock in position coaches. Coordinators are one thing, provided it isn't somebody like Carmichael who really doesn't have much, if anything to do with our offensive philosophy. But position coaches? Just look at Howard Mudd. This guy is supposed to be some legendary O-Line coach, but he goes to Philly and they have one of the worst offensive lines in the league now. Is that his fault? I doubt it. But the point is that position coaches only look as good as their players do. At least for the most part. It's just not the same as calling plays.

We used to have a decent offensive line, but then Stinchcomb retired and Jonathan Goodwin went to the 49ers. Of course, we also lost Carl Nicks, but Grubbs is a pretty good replacement. Stinch' and Goodwin aren't hall of famers, but they were better than the guys who took their place. I'm not hurt that Kromer left. I don't think anything, one way or another about him. Just looking forward to having Payton back.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Whatever Sp and loomis think. They are the reason we have a SB victory under our belt.

The dolphins and jets both had effective running games

He seems to be a good O line coach, I wouldn't be against it

I'd be willing to give Juan Castillo a shot at the O-line coaching position, since he did a rather fine job at it for the Eagles during his 13-year tenure as their O-line coach. Although I'm not sure what he is planning to do career-wise, so he might not be interested in the job.
