Rebuilding implies you had something there to start with. :p

We're building a defense. It would be virtually impossible to be worse than last year.

Barring one key injury, I can see 10 wins easily.

Payton hasnt promised 10-12 wins, but Brees has actually went on record promising a bounce back season. And when teams have rebuilded in the past if they had a good offense they made playoffs the first season. Rebuilding isnt years of progress anymore.

Rebuilding is almost instant in some cases, 2005 Saints to the 2006 Saints, 3 wins to 10 wins in which 70% of the roster was gutted.

Unless we start having stud drafts and the Special Teams Coach McMahon to get his schiott together, Coach Payton is gonna really have to earn that contract...
