Curtis Deloatch Reminisces on Memorable Dunk

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Does anyone else get a lump in their throat or teary-eyed watching Gleason as he was then? It is something I will never, EVER, forget....

Dude, I left New Orleans during High School decades ago and I still tear up watching that damn video.

For most Saints fans, it was a Rudy moment.

As far as raw emotion goes, I can't think of a better moment in Saint history, including "Hakim drops the ball" or Porters pick in the Superbowl. I'm willing to wager the vast majority of Saint fans would agree too.

I was in Fairbanks at my brothers house and nobody was there. I was glad that noone was there. I was able to let my emotion go and act like a kid. There I was, a guy in my twenties stomping around, wagging my finger at the Falcons offense. Watching Gleason block that ball... I could feel the energy from the tv. I must've yawned, I felt a streaming salty discharge flow from my eyes. Rebirth.
