Front seven Or Secondary?

I never had a year where I could not decide what position we needed help with the most. This is that year.

Originally, I wanted a DT even before we went to the 3-4. Then after the switch I began thinking about an impact OLB'er and was sure that this would give us the most results in a 3-4 alignment. Then I went back to DT for a while depending on how strong the argument was that I just read.lol

We have the two worst rated safteties in the NFL....... maybe we should replace at least one of them with a much needed impact player.

On a side note I have even begun to wonder if maybe we should address LT in the first round so we can keep Drew healthy? Also, the rookie contract is much more friendly to the cap.

Anyway, with our first pick should we draft front seven or secondary?

Which is a direct result of having numerous players along the front 7 also ranked the worst in the entire NFL.

The safeties are merely a symptom of the problem.

The front 7 is the problem.

Re: Front seven Or Secondary?

Did no one see what happens when defensive line cant get to the QB in the SB? Everyone was shocked when they saw both ATL and Baltimore throw up & down the field on the Niners because they thought that secondary was so good when that wasn't the case.

Failcons O-line eventually broke down and they started to get pressure on Shatty Lice....thus resulting in the biggest lead blown in a NFC Championship game (It was glorius wasn't it...)

But Baltimore Oline held it together and exposed their secondary repeatedly....

Front Seven......the game is won on the line. It always has been and always will be. Some CBs in the HOF now wouldn't be there if it wasn't for their D-line I truly believe that.

Front seven, its amazing how good an average secondary can look with a good pass rush

And as the playoffs showed us, its amazing how bad the best secondaries in the NFL can look without one.
