PFT Live: Time for Ingram to step up for Saints

After a sub-par 2012 season, the New Orleans Saints look to get back to their winning ways in 2013. Mike Florio believes that the Saints need to focus on improving a terrible defense, grooming a young QB behind Drew Brees and getting more use out of former Heisman trophy winner Marc Ingram.

I hate to say it but I feel like Ingram was an emotional pick and that he is under utilized because we have too damn many running backs!!! Move one and get a pick.......I don't care who anymore.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Its time to take chances on defense.

Don't blame it on Ingram...

It was a bad pick for a team built to pass; Ingram should have gone to the Giants, Steelers, Dolphins, Panthers, or 49ers...

if the saints do not address the need for better power blocking on the OL just trade the kid

like JP said It was a bad pick for a team built to pass

The Seattle game taught us you can never have too many solid running backs; our problem is we're bleeding on defense and now we are faced with a challenge at OT...

As far as for RBs we carry too many. I know it is a reactive decision because we ran out one year or we cant keep them all healthy but they are not the foundation of our offense.

Cap hits for 13
PT - 2.5m
Ivory - RFA
Sproles - 3.7m
Cadet - 1/2 m
Ingram - 2M

We can not afford the luxury of depth any more.

Ivory & Cadet need to go.... Ingram or PT needs to go also, we need a cheap durable back behind the one that stays.

I just saw that Vilmas cap hit is 8m! Tell me he is not staying..

PT or Ivory and Sproles. And we're about to find out how bad Vilma wants to stay in NO.
