I think once he learns how to harness and control his speed, it'll alleviate a few of those concerns. He's so quick off the snap, he tends to overrun the play.

Give me Jordan, Ansah or Werner first. If they are all gone then Id consider taking Mingo, My thing about Mingo is can he shed blocks I'm not so sure.

Yep. I got to see a lot of that Von up close at Desoto High and he just had that 'it' factor. Running down RB's, sideline to sideline, sacking the QB consistently. No surprise to see what he has became at A&M and subsequent Pro.
I just hope we NAIL that first draft pick. |

I should be understanding the players better........but I'm just so confused. Thank God we've still got time before the draft and I'm a member of the BNG. Just keep it coming folks. I'm a slow learner.

i just think these media guys hate to give up on players once they start looking so-so during the season and talk them up during these offseason workouts.
he may have the skills for a first rounder but played like a 2nd/3rd round pick most of the year. flashes do not thrill me |

Re: Mingo might be a good fit for us.
I think we need someone who is slender and has speed and good hands. Slender types should they get hurt heal a lot quicker. And no doubt it has to be someone from a SEC defense or a player that far outweighs his awful team. I think Te'o has a stand out name and if he's there saints need to get him I don't care about the whole fake gf thing or sexting a guy. Manti Te'o is a NFL name. What was Notre Dame before this guy? They had no offense whatsoever last year. His combine scores can be attributed to all the distractions.
