Chase Daniel Drawing Interest from Other Teams

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; IDK. I think if Chase got a shot to start somewhere he could really surprise some people. I'd love to see him back with the Saints but I'd also like to see him go somewhere and do really well....

Thats not reality. Thats your opinion.

I remember that same exact thing said about Jake Delhomme. I'm sure many said that about Tom Brady.

No one knows how he'd do as a starter because he's never been given the chance.

Re: Chase Daniel Drawing Interest from Other Teams

I'm not commenting on Chase's ability or lack thereof. It's pretty unjustifiable to say he's one of the best backups in the league since there is no data to support that assertion. However, it would have been pretty easy last year to give him more than scrub-time snaps given the ineptitude of the team. His value could have been more accurately assessed, and thus his value to the team relative to the cap.

They say Mark Sanchez is a great practice player.

Yes, however throwing the backup in can cause drama if he does well.. A whole crap load of drama... See SF.

I think we had enough drama last year.

I heard an interview of Jake Delhomme in which he admitted that until he got coached by Mike McCarthy that he "didn't have a clue" as to what he was doing.

Unless Seattle cuts Matt Flynn (which they said they wouldn't do) I see Chase having no problem finding a home where he can compete for a starting job.

I really do hope he can earn a starting spot somewhere in the league but I just don't see it.
