It's looking like the Saints will start two rookie defenders in their season opener against Seattle at the Superdome on Sunday.
Middle linebacker Courtney Watson is a given. Defensive end Will Smith is a surprise. The first-round draft pick from Ohio State has practiced with the first-team defense the past two days in place of injured right end Darren Howard, and said he's prepared to start if the veteran can't play.
