Great news. It makes sense for 6 reasons...

He's a 3-4 backer
Dallas is switching to a 4-3
He played for Ryan for 2 years
We have a need at his position
He shouldn't break the bank
We're not Dallas

Its practically a done deal.

@LarryHolder: I would be surprised if LB Victor Butler doesn't sign with the #Saints. Mutual interest is high.

He's ours.

At worst, he'll be a solid rotational OLB, at best he could be our answer at the SOLB spot, allowing Hawthorne to fight it out with Vilma and Lofton inside.
