What makes me the most angry...
... is that I fell for the hype, AGAIN!!!
Every damn year, I try to keep myself realistic. I even manage to predict the year fairly accurately in office pools (this year, I said 8-8 right after draft and nothing has changed). No matter all that seeming pessimism, there is still a part of me that doesn't believe it. There is a part of me that says, "Nah, these guys THIS year are IT! This is the year! It will all come together!" Now here I am, CRUSHINGLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! I want to punch a hole in my television watching our D get run over by Alexander. I want to throttle Brooks for his chicken-hearted throwing the ball away every time he feels pressure. I want to beat the hell out of McCarthy for his PREDICTABLE FRIGGIN' PLAY-CALLS! Today we played as the exact same team we were last year. The Seahawks came into our house and owned us completely. I hate this and can't wait to sleep tonight. I always wake up with hope for the next week. For right now, I don't even wanna talk about the Saints any more.... |

I\'m also frustrated. But I think todays game illustrted 1 thing without doubt. It isn\'t the talent we have on this team.
Fill in the blank... Our ____________ sucks. I\'ll give you a hint... he doesn\'t suit up on Sundays! |

What makes me the most angry...
For once, I actually agree, Gator. I wasnt able to see the game because it was blacked out but I listened to it. There are a few people on this team that really tick me off.
1. McCarthy. He should be calling the plays from outside the stadium. That suits him best. I mean honestly, how many times have a screen pass EVER worked? 2. Victor Riley. Too many damn penalties and its not acceptable. From what I heard, Watson played well and Stallworth seemed to finish the game and make a few catches. Bellamy made some good plays and Will Smith just had his hands full with the pro-bowler in Jones. |

I totally Agree. I fell for the hype again this year also. In fact I had others around me believing it too.... It\'s not that the team showed lack of emotion, lack of dicipline, lack of good coaching. No, that would be too easy. It\'s that I live in Atlanta and now I have to hear about Michael Vick ALL WEEK and how he is SOOOO much better than his cousin (which I\'m beginning to believe)..... Is having a winning season that much to ask?

What makes me the most angry...
I\'m not going to lay today\'s performance on Brooks.
I am going to lay it on Jim Haslett. WR\'s running the wrong routes, \"one of the deepest O lines in the game\" not playing well, penalties and mental mistakes point to one paramount problem: coaching. We got the Redskins/Bucs game here today and Aikman and Collingsworth said it over and over. \"Joe Gibbs is HIGHLY organized and has his teams ready to play for every game over an entire season. In contrast, Haslett teams never look ready to play. Haslett teams often look like they haven\'t practiced. Haslett teams make the same mistakes and have the same problems week after week. Now that we\'re having the same WR problems under 2 different coaches, I\'m reluctant to pin it on the position coach, or even McCarthy. 08, I am afraid you could be right about us being stuck with Haslett until Rita takes over from Benson, but I sure wish he would bring in new leadership. We have the tools, we have the talent (for the most part), we just aren\'t ready to play. 8-8 seems optimistic if we can count on 8 opponents to make more mistakes than we do. :casstet: |

What makes me the most angry...
my perspective from the game...
Positives - Bellamy looged great, and the Beerman is definately back minus one fair catch signal he wished he never made. Defense overall looked decent until the 4th quarter where the looked like they had given up as the offense continued to do nothing. Brooks looked better than i expected but was getting no help from anyone other than Horn. Negatives - Once Young and Watson were taken out late in the third for some unknown reason, Alexander turned it on and was running for 7+ a touch. Recievers dropped a lot of balls again. Recievers ran horrible routes...at first i thought it was brooks fault, but the recievers were getting chewed out on the sidelines. I swear it was like they just were given the playbook before kickoff. McCarthy has got to go....open up the offense this year my ass. They attempted 2 passes downfield all day and one was on a nice scramble from brooks that bought a lot of time. Jerome dove and should have caught one, and donte turned the wrong way and was just short on his dive to catch up to it. Turnovers and Penalties were ridculous today. Overall we looked awful on offense, but our d played better than I expected against a very good offense that looked in mid-season form. Had our offense done anything at all, i feel our D would have kept up the intensity in the fourth, where Alexander racked up about 60 of his yards running out the last 4 minutes after Conwell tanked a 4th and 3 to the ground and emptied the stadium in a hurry. It felt like deja vu from last year only not quite as bad of a blowout. Dropped passes and horrible playcalling, coupled with no enthusiasm onoffense. i dont remember them converting but maybe 1 or 2 3rd downs all day.....makes you wonder what they did to gameplan Seattle having only 2 months to prepare. This better get fixed by next week. -Sars |

Our ____C_O_A_C_H_I_N_G___ sucks. You can\'t win games if: 1) you don\'t make the most of the talent you have; 2) you don\'t have good play calling; and 3) you don\'t motivate your team and get them fired up to win. I don\'t and have not seen that from the SAINTS now for several years. Who\'s to blame??? HAZ If you want to take it a step higher, it is the owner and GM\'s fault as well because they have let Haz,McCarthy and crew fumble this franchise\'s opportunities far longer than they should have. Loyalty is one thing, but making the same decisions over and over even though you know that they will produce the same negative results is INSANITY! And that\'s what it is to let Haz keep f-ing things up like he has. As always, it\'s only MY opinion. But I really think I\'m right on this one. Geaux SAINTS David in Houston |

After that thing yesterday, we need to at least fire the offensive coaching staff. Haz needs to do something. Riley needs to be gone, now and all players who drop a pass in a game from this day forward are fined $10,000.00 and will come into the next game as a backup.
