Re: BREAKING: Saints sign S Jim Leonhard
With Bree's as a QB, I'm rather surprised at the stock we are putting into his size.
A few articles on him from the last 2 seasons Jim Leonhard is a good player, but he tore his patellar tendon in December. He won't be ready for the start of the 2012 campaign. http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2012S.php Notes: One of the NFL's worst starters in 2011, Sanford got a boost from playing alongside rangy rookie Harrison Smith last year. ... Coming off a patellar tendon tear, Leonhard was eased back in as an effective subpackage player in Denver last year. That may be his ideal role. http://m.nfl.com/news/0ap10000001470...-top-safeties/ 2011 one of the top 10 http://dustinkeller81.com/2011/07/19...feties-in-nfl/ Interesting names here. http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2...ties-in-n-f-l/ Nothing but good about Jim. http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/bron...y-jim-leonhard Papz = 1 B&G = 0 I'm with Papz on this one. Welcome Jim Leonhard to the New Orleans Saints! |

Re: BREAKING: Saints sign S Jim Leonhard
interesting... I liked him with the Jets and even flashed some play making abilities with the Ravens but I am not sure this is the best FA signing available, O well, in Loomis I trust!

Re: BREAKING: Saints sign S Jim Leonhard
Adding depth where needed with a capable veteran at low cost. Nice signing. Did anyone really think we were going to break the vault open in free agency with only pocket change to spend from the piggy bank? The off-season moves haven't been flashy, but they've been pretty solid for what they can afford.
