Re: Vilma in our 3-4 scheme
I think I remember Sean Payton said in an article a few week ago that Vilma will fit as a WILB...........with the Jets he was asked to be a SILB. Being older and little more savvy might help him! Besides back then he wasn't willing to make the transition, now he embracing it.

Re: Vilma in our 3-4 scheme
He did leave NY to get out of a 3-4 & he is getting older & more injury prone

Re: Vilma in our 3-4 scheme
I agree with Danno, and I'd be a little worried if I was Lofton, because he seemed to me like he was brought in to replace Vilma when Vilma's future was uncertain with the suspensions and injuries (remember before the penalties came down people were speculating about a possible lifetime ban for Vilma), and although I don't dislike him, to me Lofton kinda has the stink of the Spagnuolo hire upon him now, he's kind of a symbol of the "worst defense in history" 4-3 era from when Payton was mostly out of the building, and now the team is clearly moving in a different direction.

Re: Vilma in our 3-4 scheme
I want to see how Lofton handles the Ryan 3-4, before I give up on him.

Re: Vilma in our 3-4 scheme
Lofton was in on every tackle.
