Re: Trade Up for Dion Jordan ? If I Were GM

SAINTS MIGHT TRADE DOWN BUT NO WAY THEY TRADE UP WHEN THE VALUE IN THE 1ST RD IS BETWEEN 10-30. NOT BUT A COUPLE PLAYERS HAVE REAL TOP 10 GRADES SO NO WAY THEY MOVE UP TO GET DEVALUED IT'S LUDICROUS! THE REAL VALUE IS IN ROUNDS 2-4! Mickey and Sean said they graded less than 30 first round grades but more than 50 2nd rd grades so the value is later on so we need early mid round picks so I see us either trading a couple players and or trade down no way we trade up in the 1st but maybe in the 2nd , 3rd, 4th, or even 5th because of the depth of TEs, DBs, and DTs! We need more mid round picks this year maybe even picks next year because the cap will be the same and we need to infuse young cheap talent to plug in instead of overrated FAs that are on the downside of their careers! Although I absolutely love our moves this offseason because of not reaching on a high priced LT or a high priced older pass rusher instead getting a young hungry adapted OLB like Butler he's already up to speed on the 3-4 perfect for the transition from the 4-3! We need DBs, edge rushers, but really with our free agent acquisition we can go best available and with my projection we can fill needs by going best available if you are willing to wait and get the CB in the 3rd or later because of the depth really I like Robert Alford as much as any CB out there and I believe the way that Sean and Mickey work they know this is deep for DBs I mean I think you can get an eventual starter in the 5th rd like Tharold Simon There is a ton of options in the secondary so that's the position I would be willing to gamble that an impact player would be available later!

I wouldnt rule out trading up if somebody drops and the cost isnt too much.

True, but getting someone like Dion Jordan would probably take trading up to top 5 - or very close to it - which would cost way too much for the Saints.

I don't want to trade up unless its to leapfrog a couple of teams and pick up somebody like Star or Johnson. Some sort of deal with the Jets.Id much rather trade back
