Re: 2013 LIVE DRAFT THREAD
The only good thing regarding SF is that they are in a competitive division. I said cards would challenge and after the moves they made this offseason and in this draft I think it stands to reason that they will turn it around. How do you not turn it around when you get Palmer, Mendenhall, draft Matthieu and Okafor and then get a HC who took a team to 11 wins with a rookie qb and many other defensive players?

Kenny Stills Oklahoma Big 12 Photo of Kenny Stills Drafted By: Saints Round 5 Pick 11 Overall 144 Combine Results Grade 66.0 ? 4.38 SEC Top Performer 16 REPS 33.5 INCH 124.0 INCH 4.35 SEC Blue Star = Combine Top Performer More Draft Video 6'0" Height 30 1/2" Arm Length 194LBS. Weight 9" Hands Overview Stills was a highly sought after four-star recruit. As a high school senior, he had 45 receptions for 914 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2009. Stills is the all-time leader in receiving yards in San Diego. He was named 2009 CIF first-team wide receiver. Kenny’s father, also named Kenny, played safety for the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. Stills’ uncle, Gary Stills, played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. Stills had an instant impact for the Sooners, as he started every game in 2010 as a true freshman, and set Oklahoma freshman records for receptions and receiving yardage. Stills caught 61 passes for 786 yards and five touchdowns. In 2011, Stills once again caught 61 passes, but this time totaled 849 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named to the Coaches second-team All-Big 12. As a junior, Stills caught 82 passes for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was once again named second-team All-Big 12. Analysis Strengths Good athlete. Good first step off of the line of scrimmage well and has the speed to get behind cornerbacks and the quickness to create separation out of his breaks. Tracks the deep ball very well. Good hands. Flexible, and can make the adjustment to reel in off-target throws. Shows body control and the ability to catch the football at the high point. Weaknesses Lacks great size for the position. Doesn't appear to have elite speed. Not overly physical. Bigger, physical corners will give him issues, especially at the line. Concentration lapses, will drop easy passes. Maturity will be in question due to off-the-field incidents. NFL Comparison Andre Roberts Bottom Line While Stills isn't the biggest or the fastest, he has a knack for finding ways to get open. He has the ability to track the football, and make some extremely difficult catches. Stills will likely be selected around the third round. |

Re: 2013 LIVE DRAFT THREAD
Kenny Stills, 6-1/189
Wide Receiver Oklahoma Kenny Stills 2012 Preview By Charlie Campbell Career Recap: Stills had a very good true freshman season in 2010. He caught 61 passes for 786 yards and five touchdowns, and was a good complement to star receiver Ryan Broyles. Stills was mildly disappointing as a sophomore, especially after Broyles went down with a knee injury partway through the season. Stills hauled in 61 passes for 849 yards and eight touchdowns last year. He was an All-Big XII Second-Team selection. Stills had a huge game against Florida State, and was the top offensive player who pushed the Sooners to a road win. The sophomore also had a big game against Texas Tech, but he didn't record a 100-yard game in his last five outings. Off the field, Stills had an arrest just after his freshman year on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence. 2012 Season Outlook: There is no reason for Stills not to have a big junior season. He has a senior quarterback in Landry Jones and is part of an offense that features a pass heavy gameplan. Jones has big arm and can make all the throws. There also is a derth of quality defenses in the Big XII for Oklahoma to be challenged by. Stills has a nice complementary receiver in Jaz Reynolds, so he could have a decent amount of single coverage. Broyles is in the NFL, so Stills should see a lot more targets than he has the previous two seasons. As long as Stills stays healthy, there is no reason for him not to set new career highs in catches, yards and touchdowns. Skill-Set Summary: Stills doesn't look like he has any special traits to be a mismatch receiver at this point. He does not have burner speed or overwhelming size and physicality. Stills is a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none. That being said, the junior has a skill set that should allow him to produce. He uses his size well and plays with some physicality. Stills also has some quickness that he uses to get open. Stills plays bigger than his listed measurements. One would think that he was a few inches taller with the way he looks. Still has the ability to make some tough catches in traffic with good body control. Overall, Stills has the makings of a plus route-runner and hands receiver. He is sudden in and out of his breaks to get separation from defensive backs. Stills is adept at running downfield and works well along the sideline. The junior needs to increase his production in 2012 and show the ability to be a dominant receiver at the college level. If he doesn't provide more yards, receptions and touchdowns with Broyles in the NFL, it will be a major red flag for him. For the next level, Stills would probably be best as a No. 3 slot receiver if he doesn't improve on his production as a junior and/or senior. Perhaps this season Stills will prove that he can be more than that. 2013 NFL Draft Expectations: Stills currently looks like a second-day pick. However that is based on him meeting the expectations of elevating his game to another level. He has an experience edge at this point in his career and good supporting cast. If Stills doesn't increase his production significantly, he will slide into day three of the draft. |
Re: 2013 LIVE DRAFT THREAD
