this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Since we are doing comparisons, I've always said Chase reminds me of Conner Barwin....

That video showed a lot. Chase Thomas is a playmaker... just doesn't time well in the 40 (which is probably why he dropped).
That play where two Stanford guys were rushing the QB and, realizing that the QB was going to throw, Chase Thomas stopped his rush, dropped into the passing lane, jumped up and snagged the INT. That one play right there showed how smart of a player this guy is. He doesn't have the greatest athletic ability, but his smarts more than overcome his lack of physical prowess. |
