My Brees football card collection
Thought I would show this off a bit. I started it Christmas 2008 when I got a gift certificate to an online card shop. Up to 270+ cards now, with 30 more on the way.
As a rule I won't spend more than about 10 bucks on any one card, so I don't have a lot of the high-end inserts. But they make me happy. I also have duplicates of each card pictured here, my ultimate goal with those is to get them put in a giant panoramic frame for my man cave. It'll pretty much cover an entire wall. |

Re: My Brees football card collection
I would guess around $800 to $1000. Now granted, that's spread out over 4+ years and buying two copies of each card as I go.
Most I will buy with ebay and Amazon gift cards, or credit from some of the online consignment-type shops that I get for cards I've sold. Rarely do I spend actual money on a card. To some extent the online community is one giant swap meet. |

I'm jealous. I once had an extensive card collection but that damn Katrina ruined it. That @$%^&... over 15 years of collecting all down the drain.

Stop collecting cards around the time Upper Deck first started doing football cards, now it's just Saints stuff

Re: My Brees football card collection
Yeah, I quit for a long time. Probably around the age of 14 or 15 when I discovered cars, girls and booze. LOL. Got back into it in my 30's when my other hobbies got too expensive to maintain.
