Is Pierre starting this year?
 

I thought it was Ingram's job to lose but in practice it was PT and Sproles as the top two. A broncos fan I play in fantasy leagues with told me this in a IM.

Pierre has been the starter..... As much as any RB can be called a starter for the Saints.

PT just produces year after year even when the saints cut into his carries trying to get that #1 pick up and running. PT style fits the saints line better IMO plus the team respond better with him in there. he is a to flexible for defenses to stack the box

PT and Sproles are the best two backs we can put on the field that keep the defenses off balance

Who's starting in our backfield really has little relevance... unless by some miracle it's Cadet. Now that would be shocking.

And somewhat welcoming.

When a guy comes in and earns a spot in year one or two I find it refreshing. It also adds some youth to the talent pool.

I think its refreshing anytime somebody new gets a starting spot since its usually means he has been busting his tail to become a better player.

Really. It seems for the most part the word starter has become irrelevant. It used to mean the best in that position and when you're talking about the offensive line and QB, it still does. Other than that it now means the best in that package. So yeah, we'll see a lot of PT when his packages come up, a lot of Sproles when..., etc. It'll be the same for the defense.

Yup. We only have three ball handling workhorses, QB, Center, and kicker. Everyone else is situational.

Sorry...

Ingram is the worse RB on the roster. He just hasn't turned into the RB he was in college or everyone hoped. I though last year he was the worse until Ivory came back and that seemed to motivate him. Besides that... short yardage or Full back.

Yep. Pierre is the starter........if that means is he the best running back? Then yes he is the starter.
