The week before they practiced very well and played a bad game. I don't know if it means anything, I just thought it was interesting. Anybody listen to Bill Mas do the game? He sounded like he was rooting for the Rams. I actually heard him shout GO! when Goodspeed converted that 3rd and 13. On Mike & Mike this morning they ran through the weeks games and had a short comment on all of them, but they left out one game completely. Guess which game they didn't comment on? Yep, you're right. I have no problem with the decision on the 4th down attemps. I liked the calls and I imagine the players did too. But why run straight into a 9 mine front? Hey Mikey, got check-off? I thought Carney's maximum was 51 yards. Whats up with him? Did he hire Bonds personal uhhh trainer (wink wink)? Stecker looked much better than I ever thought he would. If he doesn't get hurt he just might hold down the fort till Deuce gets back. KiJana didn't look as good as I'd hoped, though he had minimal carries. Its amazing how we ran the ball better utlizing a FB. I'll bet Deuce is wondering why the heck we didn't do that when he was in. Fred Thomas doesn't look as good as he did last year. Is age starting to catch up to him? I guess Darren Howard and Bryan Young mean more to that D-line than we thought. Watson is looking better and better each game. Did James Allen even play? Charles Grant in now our best DE. I'll give this post 5 replies before it turns into another Aaron Brooks debate or the increasingly annoying Sunshiner/Moonshiner pissin contest. |

heh, I liked going for it on fourth down as well, I mean what ever kept our offense on the field and their\'s off sounded really good to me.

Good observation Danno I agree. But I think McCarthy called a good game too. McCarthy used the pass to set up the run. I\'ve never seen him do that before. Usually it\'s Deuce into the line on 1st and 2nd downs and then throw the ball on 3rd. Which game plan do you think he will use when he gets Deuce back?

Regarding announcers (of other games) yesterday, Pat Summerall sounds old...more now than ever. I still LOVE to hear his voice, but I think his \"Hang \'em Up\" time is near. Also, as bad as Troy Aikman was a couple years ago, I think he\'s getting a lot better. |
