Give him some time .. the kid is young, hungry and eager to succeed at his craft. What more can you ask for.

If QBs dumped 5-7 yard routs to TE/RB in 2009 D-Sharper wouldn't have been able to play D-Sharper type stuff either.

I read his quote in another article. He was asked a question. He answered it. There's so much hype about how the NFL is faster. For him it seems he was maybe expecting he'd have trouble keeping up? Who knows. I just didn't get the feel that he was being arrogant at all. Just confident. And confident es bueno!

To be honest, if he continues to play and progress the way he has so far this camp he could be a defensive carbon copy of TO and I wouldnt care. As long as Payton can keep him in check when it comes to the locker room he can be arrogant all he wants. This defense needs someone like that. I cant remember seeing one of our first rounders showing up like this since Payton arrived.
Looks like he is staying healthy too.

Wow wouldn't it be nice to see a true star in the defensive backfield. We haven't had many of those.

I think Sharper was the last one we had, and he was just a rental.

Re: Vacarro "NFL is slower than I expected".

I think the article on wwltv has a better interpertation of what he meant more than the video. Doesn't seem like he meant it as arrogance

“Coming from the Big XII, the tempo offenses all the time, to get a breather between each snap was wonderful for me,” the rookie said. “I’m not used to that. In college I was play after play after play no-huddle.”

In other words, Vaccaro felt like Friday night was slower in comparison to the college game.

Vaccaro finished with a team-high six tackles and, partially because of the tempo, felt the game was a little slower than he expected.

“I really thought it’d be a lot more faster,” Vaccaro said. “But I was prepared and it kind of slowed down in front of me as the game went on.”

Saints rookie Vaccaro says tempo of Big XII had him prepared for first game | wwltv.com New Orleans

Remember college rules are different when it comes to no huddle and letting the defense set up. Look @ Chip Kelly's offense @ Oregon it was play after play...no stopping to let the D set up. NFL refs have to let the D get set up before O can snap the ball. Thats all he meant.
