Yes, because it is quite clear that Ingram is not built for this offense. You cannot tell me its because of the line because K-Rob was doing just fine. Trade Ingram now while he still has value and try and get someone at the LB position.
IF Ingram cannot do it against Miami's backups he sure as hell cant do it against San Francisco and the likes starters. |

I didnt see the game last night as i was far too tired to be up in the early hours so i can only go off stats.Ingram averaged 5.4 YPC last night, what was his issue. Also seemed to be a few turnovers last nights, good D or poor play from our players |

Khiry Robinson has to make the team, he's just gotta
22 carries / 115 yards / 5.2 YPC Rush
6 rec / 50 yards / 8.3 YPC Rec 165 yards total. Question still remains, all the work because he got the job or was he up on display looking for one? My take is every RB has a case of the dropsies from time to time, he had not put the ball on the ground yet then in one night everyone is funneling and looking like complete crap on offense. We had 4 fumbles one was by a starter who tried a chicken-wing over the top of defenders. They were all tired, only had three days of rest and the stress of getting cut for some took its toll. Robinson is a flat out better RB than Cadet and I hope he plays against Atlanta. I think he had more 1st downs last night than Ingram had all year. |
Re: Khiry Robinson has to make the team, he's just gotta
I still don't get why everyone is so down on Ingram. He played well last night. His own stat line does not lie. He also fumbled once.
I don't think there has ever been any question about our O-line not creating holes for him or whatever. I do however think that a RB needs consistency. We kept giving Robinson the ball and he kept delivering. When have we EVER, in ANY game done that for Ingram. I genuinely think Ingram has trade value because, injuries aside, if he was getting as much consistency and as many carries as someone like a Trent Richardson, you easily have a 1200+ yard 10TD runner there. Easily. We just do not play that system. And before anyone says 'What about Robinson then', maybe the kid is just better at getting less of a consistent drag in the game. And maybe that is why he is better suited to our offense. Don't sleep on Ingram. Trust me. |

You are absolutely right in that you get more for less from players like Sproles and Thomas. You don't have to keep giving them the ball every down and they still squirt off 5 and 10 yard runs, catches out of the backfield, screen plays etc etc. But we do need a strong power back who we lean on a little more.... And of course everyone will now say 'Hey that's Khiry Robinson' and you know what, it just may be. In the grand scheme of things, Ingram is not a massive cap hit and is worth having on that roster for sure. If Robinson is kept, continues to play and develop like he has shown and Ingram cannot continue to fit into this scheme then it's trade or cut very soon (I believe this is year 3 of a 4 year contract he is now entering). |
