Re: Meachem breaking news
Eventhough, Meachem left New Orleans last season, he had his best game of the season in New Orleans. 3 catches/67 yards/ 2 TDs. There's no place like home.

Sometimes you can go home.
It is a good place to be... |

Re: Meachem breaking news
Not suprised the front office moved for Meachem.Cheap once year deal i imagine.Had Stills got any injury there would have been a lack of a speed guy to stretch the defense. Makes sense, now if we can sign a OLB with the other spot open ill be happy.
I do like Dunbar as posted on another thread last year he had oer 100 tackles 5 Passes defended,2 Int and 2 FF.I cant see anyone on in the LB core we have matching that |

Re: Meachem breaking news
This could be a good singing...
a.) Probably got him for dirt cheap. b.) Payton is back. c.) He's very much used to this system. d.) Less pressure. He is not expected to fill Vincent Jackson's shoes. So there is almost zero risk in this signing and possibly some gain. |

San Diego doesn't make what you'd call stellar decisions when it comes to handling players: Brees, Sproles, Tomlinson, Jackson, Seau, Leaf... |
Re: Meachem breaking news
I cant believe some of the whining about a low risk high upside move. I would pick up any player that has a good. Chance of helping add depth and potiential. Meachem averaged 7TDs a season with us. If he doesn't pan out we lose little. IMHO the FO is doing everything it can to find any player that could make us better.
