Re: Meachem breaking news
My god ... We've never had this much firepower on either side of the ball ...

Re: Meachem breaking news
While I agree that at this price he would be benificial, we need to use the roster spot for a linebacker. We can bring the Meachums and Hendersons of the world in if there is an injury. I dont get this move. I never cared much for him anyway.

Re: Meachem breaking news
I think Colston is hurt more than we think.
Just a hunch. I expect Moore to potentially take over the #1 spot with toon/stills/tanner/meach rotating #2 and a combination of more than one on the field at any given time. |
Re: Meachem breaking news
I'm good with this, nice insurance policy against Colston and Moore's injury histories.

Re: Meachem breaking news
I LOVED Meachem when he was in New Orleans. I thought he was desperately underrated and a complete nuisance to cover. The amount of deep balls he took in, especially on 3rd and longs seemed to be unprecedented.
The reality is this though; if we have someone injured and we are looking to replace AND Meachem passes a physical including concussion tests then this is a fantastic signing for us. Fantastic. If we are bringing him in and cutting someone else then I don't get it without additional reasoning. Most importantly, and especially offensively, I trust this organisation like NO other. We are dynamite. And at the end of the day it is also a business. We aren't losing a roster spot and wasting good money if we didn't believe it delivered genuine value. Interesting Times! |
