The bad thing about that excuse.... You can't draft out of it and injury won't save you. When the coach is weak, the play calling is weak, and the team in the end is weak.

Maybe but they've had more success under Mike Smith than they've ever had before. And while I'm saying good things about them, (GAHHH!!) Matt Ryan is a very good QB. I know his record in the playoffs is terrible but I don't think it's because of him. It's a team game after all.

Depends on how you define success? If regular season record is how you define it then you are correct. If its post season and Super bowl is your goal then Dan Reevs had better success in the post season. Dan Reevs also had a 14-2 season which Smith has yet to do.

As far as Matt Ryan being a very good QB... Gonzo and Roddy get most of that credit, they are consistently his top two targets, one if a future Hall of Famer and the other is an All Pro and 4x Pro Bowler.

Drew has not had a All Pro or Prow Bowl WR yet.

Matt Ryan is as good as Matt Schaub, Joe Flacco, ... any of the QBs that have epic receiving talent at their disposal.

I actually thought that both teams were playing a "their offense can't hurt is if they are not on the field" strategy.

D made some plays, and should get better. Not saying they are for real yet. But, this was a good team they played.

I think your coach and QB killed you, your coach gambling on 4th down YET AGAIN when everything in the universe is screaming at him not to do it, take the field goal and the onside kick, the Saints special teams under Greg McMahon are TERRIBLE, that was a slam dunk to win the game. I guess your coach does not watch any film of the teams he plays against.

Your coach behaves like a cheap Biloxi gambler with a gambling problem, pawning his mother's wedding ring. You give him a 4th down, he can't refuse, no matter how low the odds situationally. That's how people lose their houses and ruin marriages in the real world.

I knew we had won the game the minute it was first and goal from the 7. I said "they're gonna go for it on fourth and not get it" and high-fived the people in the seats around me, and I wound up being COMPLETELY RIGHT.

And the QB they call "Matty Ice" was anything but "ice" he seemed to be really frustrated and thwarted and ticked off, not able to figure anything out that was coming at him.

When Brees gets a rush, he stutter-steps around it, or sometimes even senses it coming from BEHIND and steps away. Matty Ice just seemed to be taking off running for his life. And throwing the ball away. Intentional grounding by not getting outside the hash marks is a pretty humiliating penalty in the modern NFL. Rookie quarterbacks routinely avoid this penalty as a matter of course. The Falcons should not be paying a lot of money for that kind of play.

Both teams looked great. Hard to take anything away from the Falcons.
