Re: The O Line
How many times does it have to be repeated? Ingram comes in and Atl were stacking the line of scrimmage, no threat of a screen. Pierre Thomas comes in and they can't stack the line for fear of the screen.
You start feeding Ingram some screen passes and teams will stop stacking the line looking 100% run... |
Re: The O Line
Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but didn't I see Ingram's number get called on a screen pass during a preseason game and it actually worked out pretty good? Why have that not learned to do this with him in games that count to spread the defense out some more?

Mike Bell made this same dynamic work. so did Ivory, so did Deuce, etc. At some point Ingram has to start succeeding in the role he's given, whether the circumstances are perfect or not. I loved the hell out of Ingram in college and I was ecstatic when we drafted him, but plain and simple he is not cutting it and it's making the offense less effective than they should be. |

Ingram on average gets 9 ( safety in the box sometimes dropping into coverage ) |
Re: The O Line
Grubs got Sproles lit up on a play that could've gone the distance just plain for beat ... With only 6 in the box ... Ingram has nothing to do with how this line blocks , if you disagree I highly doubt you understand football

Re: The O Line
Lol it's almost comical , someone's always in Ingrams way

Now, ill reword your statement so it still fits but doesn't sound like a conspiracy and I think we are getting somewhere. :) For what ever reasons there are, he doesn't find a hole. Even ****ty RBs fall in a hole once a game. |

Maybe it's a lack of field vision or issues with his eyesight. It may be good for the team to have his eyes checked and get him some Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn glasses. :p |
Re: The O Line
As much as it pains me to say it, the Falcons are a good team. Not making excuses but that was the first game of the year, against a playoff caliber team. Our O line could have looked a lot better but they have often looked harried and pressured against really good teams before, it's just a rough day at the office, and especially on opening day.
The Jahri holding penalties, I kinda suspect something was going on there.... Maybe trash talking or eye poking, a little back and forth, or maybe the ref didn't like something that Jahri was doing. It almost had to be something unusual, for it to keep happening in a row or in a big bunch like that. It was a "Come on, man!" moment. |
