It was a cheap shot. He deserved the fine. But... after that Atlanta didn't score another point until the 4th quarter. So I'd say it was money well spent.

It was a late hit and deserved a flag and maybe a fine but I don't think it was dirty. I do think he wanted to make Skids think about running near him again. He was probably waiting for a chance to nail him. But I don't think he meant to injure Ryan. Just a stupid rookie mistake.

WTH?? It wasnt blatant. It was a rookie mistake and happens every Sunday. I could see if he hit Ryan as he was trying to get up or something but jeez.

Going back to the 2009 NFL Draft, had a Draft Crush on Clay Matthews and was p/o (still am) that we took Jenkins; that may offer some insight into why I freaked when we took Vaccaro over my 2013 NFL Draft Crush Ogletree; well, Vaccaro's start has certainly eased anxieties there...

Now, I don't wish misfortune to Matthews, but this fine him but not him inconsistency from the League Office is TOTAL BULLSHINSKI...

Florio @ profootballtalk.com seemed to have a fair ear to what went down with bountygate; why can't he and his ilk start questioning and bringing scrutiny to this uneven application of the rules?!?

Goodell can offer a statement if one person whines about the Redskins moniker, why can't many demand he offer an explanation for his apparent uneven penalties against a small market franchise?!?

Hmm it took until Friday, almost a week later for the fine to become public knowledge. Vaccaro was fined early in the week, what a pile of fertilizer
