Brees/Payton era of breaking the rules
We have all heard the age old adages below that came from a different NFL. We have broken them all so far and its time to recognize that your daddy's NFL is not the same game today, and we do not have to have a tall QB with a great ground game and a top defense to win convincingly.
Drew has only a 20% chance of ever playing again - How did that work out. QBs need to be tall - Drew is 6" Defenses Win Championships - Super Bowl 44 we were ranked 25th A running game is a must - 4-0 we have no ground game this season. Marino's season passing record will never be broken - Its broken. The Aints will never win a Super Bowl - We have done all of this with a lot of no name players (at the time they were picked up). It is time to become comfortable with our lack of a rushing game, and understand that Drew is not throwing his arm out. By all means it could be better, but it is not a requirement. We are fine and have done more with less on both sides of the ball. |
