ESPN: Strief Sits, Ingram Returns

Does anyone need some gasoline? Fire ants? Duct tape? How about an Ativan?

To be honest, getting a bit bored with the Ingram bashing. It's not like all the other running backs we have, have proved that they can do what he hasn't. So I don't get it. How many times have we been 3rd and short and been knocked back because our offensive line hasn't held up their end? So let's cut the guy some slack. Whenall other running backs start making 4.5 yards a carry and he doesn't, maybe I will think again but until then you'll not find me giving him a hard time.

The Ingram bashing follows the same pattern as the Ricky Williams - Reggie Bush bashing to name 2, who happen to be RBs as well, which is (seemingly) resentment for draft position and picks given for the player, something over which the player had no control. Add to that the fantasy football mentality (stats-stats-stats), and in the case of Ingram, sprinkle some SEC rivalry on top, and you get Ingram bashing at its best.

Hope he is healthy and can start running much better. Might be a good week for him to get some carries with Wilfork out.
