hmmm sign or tag Graham makes no difference. either way we are going to loss a player or two. Not enough money to compete with other offers or moves to free up money.

May not have enough money to compete with other offers:

Malcolm Jenkins at Safety
Brian De La Puente at Center
Love all your draft takes. Very detailed.

My "detailed" 2014 draft take? BPA, and I'd like to see a QB at BPA AFTER 1st round. Brees will be around for a few more years, but wouldn't it be completely awesome to have a QB step into the offense and it not skip a beat? Kinda like Favre-to-Rodgers. Thinking future here, but we won't get BPA QB with 32nd pick unless Bridgewater falls (huh huh, water falls), so:

Hundley, UCLA, @ 2nd round or
Murray, Georgia, @ 4th round or
Meat-burger, LSU, @ 4th round

Bit of an SEC-homer, but Murray and Meat-burger are facing good competition year to year with at least 5-6 games per year against NFL-level defensive talent. Murray gets the edge considering he is without the weapons Meat-burger has this year and is also a 4-year starter in the SEC.

Manziel does not factor with me. He will make a bit more money in the NFL than he currently does at A&M, so the classlessness he's shown in college will just magically disappear when he gets even more money? No. And those "miracle" plays he makes now does not translate to the NFL, so don't compare him to Favre in that regard (Favre's "miracle" plays at USM was because of his otherworldly arm). He is a poor man's Vick with even more turn-overs. This dude is a bust-of-epic-proportions-waiting-to-happen. If we draft him I will vomit in my mouth.

Wow...that escalated quickly. Didn't mean for that to turn into a Manziel-is-the-devil thread.

2 studs on the O-line and a true ILB and a big, fast nasty get in your face corner and I believe we could go a long way for a long time. And if Robinson becomes a stud RB that makes 1 back trade bait, I would like to see us pile up the picks and send a message to Goddell that we are here to stay.

thanks i actually try watch as many as i can play. nice selection of players also

JuWaun James, OT, Tennessee

I have been watching him play of and on for about 2 years I think the kid can handle RT in the NFL. not completely sold but impressed as a solid mid round pick

by the way i hate the first round! always happier when some one falls into your lap

No kidding. Buy low, sell high = get 1st round talent in the 2nd/3rd round (see J. Jenkins). I like the James kid, too, and UT O-line has a pretty good pedigree in the NFL. Currently sitting at 3-4 rounder and did a pretty solid job against the SC Fightin' Clowneys yesterday. Good sleeper pick.

Actually Clowney abused him pretty good.

Re: Bye week draft thoughts

I start watching players now but with the way players shoot up or down two/three rounds on the back of .2 seconds in the combine its hard to judge yet.

We are talking about the next Reggie White slash LT, though against a projected 3-4th round Tackle. I saw him make a few good run blocks, and UT ran for 146 overall. Clowney makes many, many O-lineman look bad, and he'll abuse one-on-one any and every day.

We should keep our eye on JJ's brothers, Derek and TJ in Wisconsin.
