Re: Saints to 'evaluate' Khiry Robinson's snaps
Thomas, Ivory, and Robinson all show good balance, they can catch their footing after a hit and keep moving (like that leg tackle last weekend.) I haven't seen the same from Ingram, that's why Robinson is getting so many comparisons to PT.

He fumbled twice and lost one in the last preseason game with 28 touches, but I've noticed he is waaaaay more careful with it since that time. He just has that small tendency when he's breaking/juking tackles, but it's being coached up and it is obvious now that it has gotten better. Excited for this dude. |

Re: Saints to 'evaluate' Khiry Robinson's snaps
all i can say the saints made the right move keeping him on the finally roster. that said all i have seen looks promising so far and he deserve to keep getting additional touches behind the rest.
I trust him more today than yesterday but one bad turnover will change everything for him. bring him along slowly i believe he almost had that turnover on his last run in the new england game |

Re: Saints to 'evaluate' Khiry Robinson's snaps
Here is some perspective:
Khiry Robinson - 1st in YPG | 2nd in Total Yards (only played in 4 games, everyone else played in 6) | 1st in Yards Per Game | Tied for 1st inTDs | Only player with 4+ games of rushing and 0 INTs | HEALTHY Why does ANYONE need a larger sample size to give him more snaps. That is how you end up finishing the season just like you started it. As far as identifying his success with our o-line... You will have to prove the o-line intentionally blocks better for him. BTW his best game yet was against NE with Evans and Strief both nursing injuries. I thought people wanted to get rid if this offensive line because "even Adrien Peterson couldn't run behind them". Maybe AP couldnt.. but KR can. :):bng: Khiry Robinson is exactly what any team wants out of a rookie. A player that takes advantage of every touch he gets and fights to earn his spot. i will take that over he plays because of the size of his contract or draft position any day. |
Re: Saints to 'evaluate' Khiry Robinson's snaps
As Danno said earlier, he played against second stringers in New England and worn down defenders against Bears and Phins. Let's see what he can do for 4 quarters before we're ready to give him the keys.

Re: Saints to 'evaluate' Khiry Robinson's snaps
I would consider that only IF someone can tell me that for the remainder of our games no defenses will be tired or suffer injuries. If not, then he played against what showed up which he will do for the remainder of our games.
If we are going to start putting an asterisk next to everyone's performance based on the health and energy of opposing defenses then it needs to be done for all, including Sproles, Graham, and Brees. Excuses for or against end up being a tangled web of confusion... As to my previous post, I didn't say make him the showcase, I said increase his snap count. That being said, no one wants to give him the keys but if you want to truly stress his abilities, you have to do just that. You have to give him full snap count, 4 QTRs, screens, etc... Until you hand him the keys for a game you will never truly know. |
Re: Saints to 'evaluate' Khiry Robinson's snaps
He is new and shows promise which pushes him past Ingram's same ole same ole instantly. Good for him.
