In both instances, the culture of the locker room was such that it was acceptable for those guys to use that kind of slur. It's unfortunate that neither one of them had the mental capacity to realize that it is never acceptable as a white person to throw that word around even if your black teammates are indifferent to it, or in the very least, be prepared to back it up if you choose to use that rhetoric. There is a video of Incognito acting out in a Ft. Lauderdale sports bar throwing the 'N' word around in the presence of his black teammates without any of them showing disapproval ... it's TMZ Sports, so I'm not posting a link, , but it does kind of prove my point.

This guy's a product of his environment and/or obviously steroids. There's a bunch of gangsta's in there (Pouncy was indicted in the Aaron Hernandez case) and Incognito got caught up in it, thinking he's cool and one of them ... which he's not. It's a shame one of his black teammates or coaches, who had to be aware of the verbiage this guy was comfortable using, didn't step up and correct him ... he does bench 600lbs though, so maybe everybody was afraid of him.

Anyhoo, he'll be found to be a dumbass, not a racist and being a dumbass isn't a crime. He'll be back in the NFL when all is said and done ... it may sound harsh, but personally, I'd go to war with the guy ... I probably wouldn't like it, but remember, the NFL is a business and the goal is to win games ... this guy will help you win games ... you ain't got to like the guy to play in the trenches next to him, you just got to do your job and trust him to do his. Bet.
His context isn't the same as Riley Cooper's. Not even by a long shot. I never cared if a white team mate used the word around me, but if he respected me or blacks in general at all then he wouldn't even use it regardless.

Also, the "usage in rap" argument is so stupid. Eminem, Yelawolf, Macklemore, Machine Gun Kelly, none of them use it, and they'd be far more accepted in the black community then Incognito. Hell, they already are. That, and the whole culture of the locker room talk is bs. Now like I said, what he said doesn't bother me. I became immune to it years ago. But this faulty ass logic created by people who aren't even black is ridiculous.
