The "First-Down-Dance-And-Point"
Anyone else notice how this was absent from the usual culprits, Lance and Jimmy? It almost seemed like they had been warned not to press any buttons.
When Jimmy scored that first TD, he looked like he dunked that ball reluctantly or begrudgingly. He usually comes up beaming! (?) Just waiting on a late night flight and was scouring the board for something not yet discussed… Anyway, this seemed to deflate our receivers in a noticeable fashion. Alaska |

They were weak dunks because of his foot. Looked like he was jumping up off of his opposite foot. Don't think he wanted to reinjure it?

Re: The "First-Down-Dance-And-Point"
I have to wonder if the NFL encourages that type of behavior...because there is so much of it.
When I was a kid back in the day of the dinosaur we were encouraged to "act like we had been there before". It use to be common but nowadays you are kinda shocked when a guy runs into the endzone and either drops the ball or hands it to the ref and then just runs back to the sideline. I know these guys are pumped and all, but I just hate bush league antics. Many of you who know me from way back know that it is the main reason that I am not the biggest Drew Brees fan on the planet. |
Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

I saw Lance do it after a 1st down catch in the Jets game.

Re: The "First-Down-Dance-And-Point"
It was one of those road games where everything is difficult, and nothing was easy. The delay of game penalties were mostly caused by sheer confusion and not the crowd, but I'm sure the crowd noise didn't help any. And dancing and pointing and stuff just fires up the home crowd even more, makes it worse.
I just wish Jimmy would not do the dunk until his foot is healed. I cringe every time he goes up for it now. I know it's his trademark but NOBODY will ever notice or remember if he skips a few and doesn't do it EVERY SINGLE TIME. Make fun of me if you want to, but players HAVE injured themselves doing touchdown celebrations before, it's a fact! |

Jimmy is not dunking the ball.........it's rolling off his fingers.

Re: The "First-Down-Dance-And-Point"
After that 55 yarder, I was really hoping Hartley would've run to the goal post and pulled out a cell phone. Or at the very least pulled a Sharpie out of his sock, signed the ball, and given it to anyone in the stands wearing a Jets Tebow jersey.
