Re: Referees will take over now
Every time you step on the field it is 11 versus 18. The deck is stacked against us, every game, every snap. This is nothing new.
It doesn't help things any, that the Saints are faster, smarter, quicker and have more finesse than most of the middle of the road teams that that refs are used to officiating over. I vividly remember Mike Smith in Atlanta throwing a challenge flag, and losing a time out. Why? Because he couldn't believe his own eyes, that Jimmy Graham had made a catch. But they slowed it down on the Jumbotron, so him and the fans in the stadium could see it, that it was a catch. And then took away their time out. SF lost some challenges tonight and burned some time outs. The Saints are just that good. During one of the TV timeouts, I saw Payton chewing the referee a new one, probably over the touchback/interception play. They were gesturing and pointing at the ground, and obviously exchanging heated words. Payton writes a report and submits it to the league discussing the officiating each week. I'm sure this one will be an eye-opening read for Goodell and his minions. |

Re: Referees will take over now
There were actually two PI calls that should have been called against us but were not. Not saying they were game changers but the 40 whiners probably think they were

Re: Referees will take over now
Call me a liar. But seeing so much of it, looked like the officials were about to pull a royal screw job like we saw in NE.
