Re: Concerns in the secondary
Im hoping were not getting too hyped up for Butler like he's a proven pro-bowler. I was as excited as anybody when we picked him up but we really dont know how he's gonna pan out. I'll be the first to admit,Galette is playing better than I expected(I actually thought Tez was gonna be the beast for us). Point is, I like the fact that he knows Ryans system, but what he did in Dallas doesnt mean he'll do it here.....I wouldn't be suprised if Galette stays the starter. Honestly, I hope he turns out to be the best lb we have....then-and only then-will I proceed to jizz in my pants.

Re: Concerns in the secondary
Roto seems to agree on Lewis
Sun, Nov 17 Roddy White caught three balls for 36 yards and a touchdown in Atlanta's Week 11 loss to Tampa Bay. Advice: Shut down all day by Darrelle Revis, White's fantasy day was saved by a fourth-quarter touchdown from six yards out. White will be a better fantasy bet on Thursday Night Football against the Saints in Week 12, although owners shouldn't underestimate the emerging shutdown coverage of New Orleans CB Keenan Lewis. |

And a well positioned safety doesn't hurt either. Dez was bracketed all game long. I'm thinking the 3 and 4 safety sets we've seen are successful because the safeties are in better position to help both CB's be more aggressive. I can't help but think McGriff is the main reason why our secondary looks so much better than that confused and bewildered mess we witnessed last year. |
Re: Concerns in the secondary
I'm still a bit disappointed we haven't made a move on Nnamdi. Didn't we make a modest offer to him after he worked with us before the season? If he was good enough then to make an offer to, then he is probably still the same player he was a few months ago, and now we need him even more.
Why not sign a veteran who has proven his abilities rather than an unproven Trevin Wade who won't even see the active 53? Of course these are the thoughts of a layman from the outside looking in. I will continue to trust in Sean, Rob, and Mick. |

A Brief Statistical Send-Off for Nnamdi Asomugha - Niners Nation Big name but would it really be an upgrade over what we have now? i don't think so. |
Re: Concerns in the secondary
I hope Wade can play ST because White was playing ST well but now that he is #2 CB he may be relieved of some of his ST duties or Wade will be thrown in to some coverage duties to give White a breather.

(on the corey white pick/fumble) He and greer have been jumping short routes a lot during games, and corey defended this smartly, he had safety help over the top and more than 4 rushers going after the QB If its a double move the safety is there Having two relentless guys on either side of the D line doesn't hurt either lol |

For Rob Ryan to pass on a stud player he previously coached, he must know something we all don't. |

He's played under Rob before which is a plus. He is physically a big CB which is a plus. I guess my main point is that it seems like Nnamdi would have a better CHANCE of at least being activated and being a body we can have in case of an emergency. I'm not sure if we can say the same about Trevin Wade for this year at least. |
