this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Hicks was unintentional. Brooks was determined. Both are penalties and should have been flagged. However the maliciousness of Brooks play justified the fine. Hicks won't get near that much, if any at all....

Re: so expect Hicks to be fined
Can it be fined if it wasn't even called?
If so, does the league need to examine all game tapes looking for potential fines that weren't called by the refs? |

Re: so expect Hicks to be fined
1st offense, so he will get $7750, something like that. He should pay it the first day, in cash, just to show Brooks how real men act

However, the nicks hit wasn't anywhere as bad. Plus he made it a point to wrap his arms around ryan once he made contact instead of just following through with the clothesline. I'm borderline on whether it should be a penalty or not. |

Re: so expect Hicks to be fined
It was a hit to the head so it should be a penalty by rule. Pretty sure fines follow hits to the head as well.
