Now, I've watched everyone of his snaps since he's been a Saint; his experience, tenacity and intelligence have hid the decline in his physical talent - but the day is coming when he'll be unable to zip the ball in and move in the pocket quickly...

I've watched this game for nearly forty years; he's got one good elite year left and this team needs him at an elite level to win the Big Tamale...

But I gotta tell you, your response cracked me up...thanks for making my day

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

There's no kool-aid drinking here. A perennial top 5 quarterback just isn't going to fall off the face here. The tenacity, intelligence, and experience that you're talking about is exactly what that's going to keep him playing at a high enough level that we're going to need him... despite his diminishing physical attributes as he ages. Look at what Peyton continues to do.

You said he "maybe" has one more good year in him. We're talking about Drew friggin' Brees.

With that said and getting back on topic, I would love to get my hands on Aaron Murray. His injury and "height" should cause him to drop into the mid rounds. He has a lot of Brees in him and I think Payton could do wonders with him.

Not bad, but Jimmy Garoppolo of Eastern Illinois could also be a quality find...

But don't discount Griffin - there's a reason why Payton blocked the Rams from getting him...

For me the number 1 WR in this draft and none of the so called experts are talking about is Kelvin Benjamin from Florida St. He reminds me of a bigger version of Julio Jones. Id love to see him in Black and Gold!

Re: What position would you like to see the Saints go for in the draft?

Corner is my priority and I realize that we haven't had any success with 1st round draft picks at corner. But we have no depth and with Greer down and most likely out that scares the hell out of me. P Rob is still an unknown. I know that he looked better, but has he shown enough to spend another dime on him? I don't think so. White is just a penalty waiting to happen. Carr is a back up corner at best. If we have another corner go down we could be in big trouble.

Center is my next upgrade. When Nicks left dlp was exposed as being serviceable but not much more than that. He does not allow Drew to step up in the pocket quite often. He doesn't handle the bull rush well and gets beat way too often.

I think that we will be good at tackle when Armstead works his way into the line up. Strief has been surprisingly good so I feel good about the tackles.

The guards are strong enough to stay with what we've got. Lelito looked better last game and can fill in nicely.

Safety needs to be addressed in the draft......if the right player is there after we've filled our needs. Jenkins has improved but I am not willing to sign him to a long term contract. His past performances can't be ignored.

I am slightly concerned about our WR's. Morgan and Toon are injured again. Meachem most likely won't be back. Kenny Stills can catch but doesn't go after the ball. We look a little thin now.

I think De la Puente is good if you give him a little space to accelerate, I think the Saints are trying to develop ways to move the ball in accordance with the O-Line, and it's working. Ingram and Thomas have looked a lot better since the Cowboys game.

There is a difference between under-thrown and thrown under.

When our receivers are double covered with a man on top and bottom the safest throw is one thrown under since our receiver is the only one that knows where the stop and turn point is.
