One thing that does skew your stats is that Morestead has used the short directional kick a number of times to pen the returner against the sideline to limit the return. The occasions were almost always outdoors if I remember correctly.

Stop crawfishin.

The WHO matters when the YOU doesn't know who's stats to look up. LOL

I do like your logic though... Plan on punting so much that it will effect the game.

That's true...... just how good is their punter? Do you have a backup punter?

I looked up game stats... not player stats. That's why the WHO doesn't matter.

I took the number of Saints scores in each out their 4 outdoor games and added 1 to it for their kickoff either at the start of the game or the start of the 3rd quarter. That's the number of Saints kickoffs for that game.

Next I looked at the opponents stats for the same game to see how many kickoff returns there were for that same game.

The difference between those numbers is the number of touch backs.

See, the who doesn't matter.

He doesn't score or intercept so is it really relevant? :)

Well, if it is a game of field position, it might be relevant. Also if he is Shankalicious revisited...

Ehhhh 10.... 20.... Jimmy can go the distance....

He is in here spreading the same BS from the Seahawks board that someone else was saying last week. I posted the correct stats and they went quiet.

This cat goes through all that trouble when the stats are already out there if you know how to look.

Punters, kickers, statistics, pinterest, kelly clarkson, feminine hygiene.
I've lost track of what yall are talking about, but I dont feel motivated

Here's what we should focus on.

I say we ship the cockiness, internettiness, and assorted douchebaggery off to SR.com, where it belongs, and go back to being the
coolest Saints site. Remember the one that was so cool, a Lions fan
became a permanent member, and even drove 20 hours to attend our
Mudbug Boil? Lets be THOSE guys again.

Marshawn Lynch "Beast Mode" 67-yard TD run - best playoff run ever, in HD - YouTube

Sorry, I cannot like this post because of the attached video that occurred 3 friggin years ago against a Saint's team decimated with injuries that doesn't look anything like the one we have now.

Is an Aaron Brooks/Billy Joe video next?

youre right, DAnno. We dont have DArrin Sharper who accounted
for most of our turnovers in the SB Season.
And also, we're missing our best
and fastest DB, Jabari, who was in that vid.
Meanwhile, they STILL have Marshawn Lynch.

Focus on the point. I need you right here. :
Normally, you're brilliant.

Damn, exposed again. Thanks a lot mIke.:p

Its a dilemma... more knowledge=less sex, less knowledge=more sex.
Trust me, I often play dumb;)

Seriously, I detest smack as much as you do, but I prefer to express enthusiastic confidence in my team over the we suck negativity all day long. Now that may be an Alabama thang, I don't know.

Truth is though this is the first year Thurmond has even been healthy and Browner really hasn't contributed so in reality Thurmond has become our #1.
He is a good Corner but inexperienced and not real physical at the LOS. The way I see it is we will be playing our backup not our 3rd string.

Would I rather have Thurmond? Sure but like theOak said you have to play who you have. I think it is a slight downgrade but nothing that should affect the outcome of the game. If Someone tries to use it as an excuse they are reaching.

Outside of Thurmond our defense is really pretty healthy and our offense is as healthy as we are going to see it the rest of the year.

The weather out here lately has been kind of crazy. Get up in the morning to 19 degrees and it never gets above freezing all day then the next day you wake up to 39 degrees and the sun comes out and it gets near 50. Personally I hope the weather is good. I would rather see a good game with both teams not having any excuses. Other than the 12th man of course.

Hopefully it's a great environment for both fan bases everyone has a great time and the best team wins.

Thanks for the confidence in a Saints victory. That means a lot.

Somewhat seriously, I really feel the biggest factor will be in the experience factor of those with the ball. Let's not fool anyone. This is as big as a playoff game. The pressure will be huge. I went to NCSU so I have followed Wilson's career extensively. The kid is good. Very good. But, even with his baseball experience he does not come close to what Bress has been through. The same with the rest of the roster. The Saints' current roster has far more experience in these critical playoff style games than does the Seahawks.

That may really come into play on Monday night.

I, as usual, predict a seahag win.

It's not for me, or those deserving, but for the thousands of loyal fans who think coffee is a substitute for gumbo, a great beach is one that's too cold to approach without a wetsuit, and football was invented by the Inuits.

WhoDats, what the hell is wrong with you???? Get back in the real world. Yes, some teams use their bad weather as an advantage. Its been like this for 100 years. Stop acting like you just woke up in this Universe. Packers. Steelers. Patriots. BEARS. (2006? Remember?) Vikings in the old days. Yes, honey, weather helps the home team. Just like Krazy & Drunk helps us.

Lets deal with real. We hate cold, and we are a passing team that
prefers a fast track.

Does it mean wer'e gonna lose? No, we got some D now thats one big game away from getting a name. We got some Pierre, and some Mark Ingram, and some "#79 is an eligible reciever." We got the smartest offensive coach in the game, and Big Fat Rob Ryan to pump the Defense up. We have Character and Guts. We have a quarterback who you can rip his head off, and he just gets up, spits some blood, calls the next play, and smokes your azz. '

We got some defensive young guns who only know how to rock, we have the best punter in the game, and if we can manage a pass or two, we have half a dozen world class receivers. We have a kicker who hits the ones that matter.

But lets get real. This is gonna be walking into a junkyard to fight it out with the dogs. We're gonna be cold, and they know it. The crowd is gonna act like a crazy mob, every time something goes against us. They got this Marshawn Lynch character, who i still have nightmares about that strike he bowled on our defense last time. I've see their QB, and he's not just another
Cam Newton/Vince Young/Kaepernick college hotshot who ran over everyone.
He can actually place the ball.

Until this point, we've been good enough to win ugly.
But if our offense goes in there and fiddle-f**ks around like it has for 10 of 11 games this year, we're dead. It all starts with five fat boys on the front, named Brown, Grubbs, DeLaPuente, Leilo, and Strief. We need to put our
jocks on straight and come out ready to rock. I'd like the first play to be a run up the gut to Ingram.

We're underdogs and we should be. There's every reason in the world to believe they can stomp our ass. But I want to come out and stomp the Seahawks, and their fans, and their weather. I want Jimmy Graham to bend their goalpost and yell like frankenstein. We're up against it. But I wouldnt have any other characters, any other coaches, or any other QB. Play Ball.

Daayyuumm Mike! Now this is what I'm talking about ... take me back to that balcony on a hot summer afternoon,.

Voted "Best Of" ...

Going into the eye of the hurricane, that's for sure, but in the words of SgtMaj Daniel Joseph Daly (USMC), "Come on boys, you want to live forever?"

No fear. Bet.
