Judging from some of these comments and comments in other threads; I'll go out on a limb and guess that 90% of Seahawks fans have not played ball.

Here's the skinny:

The Saints have played only 4 games outdoors this year... @Jets, NE, Chicago and TB.

In those, the Saints kicked off 23 times and there were 10 returns by the opponents, leaving 13 touchbacks for Hartley. I extracted the data by looking at the box scores for each of those 4 games.

Subtracting those from the totals you cited (42/64), that leaves Hartley's INDOORS touchback % at 78%... and not too surprising, a touchback % of only 56.5% outdoors.

Wind and temperature do matter.

Except. Hartley doesn't do the kickoffs. :)

Interesting article on Harvin's lengthy injury history. The author is a neurologist (MD) . Pretty much his professional conclusion in a nutshell is that, Harvin is made out of glass.

Percy Harvin's migraines may affect his injury history, and help explain why he left the Vikings - Daily Norseman

You failed to mention that the author is an admitted Vikings fan.

Hardly an impartial viewpoint.

Seattle fans, I hate to spoil your hope but weather is not going to play as much of a part of this game as you think.

Mud - you have turf.
Wind - If it isn't over 10 mph non issue... Christ Drew played for years in San Diego.
Cold - if nots not snowing it's not an issue. Drew went to Perdue, and having played... The cold is better than 98F in Miami.

Looks like 6MPH winds, 35f and showers possibly. You are not going to benefit as much as you think.

As far as for this kicking discussion... You do realize that every qtr the teams swap sides? LOL

Perhaps ... he goes on to state that Harvin may have phonophobia. Of course Seattle would be a tough place for such a disorder. Percy has got a lot to prove on not being made of porcelain.

The WHO doesn't matter.

The stats are the stats.
