Last time the teams played in regular season, the Saints spanked the Seattle 34-19 in 2010, and 28-17 in 2008. Yes, Seattle won the playoff game in 2010 but I think that we'd all agree that game was clearly an aberration. Seattle just got lucky that day. Seattle has a midget for a QB who has never played in a MNF game before. That's huge. Think "deer in the headlights scared". They also run that Read Option gimmick offense because Wilson can't stay in the pocket and throw the ball effectively like Drew Brees. Seattle doesn't have a TE who is anywhere near as productive as Jimmy Graham. Hell, Zach Miller even seldom gets to go out for a pass because he's needed to stay on the line and block due to Seattle's inconsistent and weak O-line. And Seattle's so-called "Legion of Boom" is currently decimated by the injury to Brandon Browner and the fact that his back-up, Walter Thurmond, will be out due to a 4-game suspension. The Saints have the advantage in this game. Anyone who tells you different is fooling only themselves. |
